Reminder!
We are located within a Norfolk city building and must follow the city’s guidance regarding openings and closings.

Screening Hours are Monday thru Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Applications are walk in basis- You must be a registered patient and in good standing to schedule an appointment with us. Our clinic is for those with no kind of dental insurance or coverage. If you have both Medicaid AND Medicare Part B, we cannot serve you.

Additionally, we offer partials ($100 per partial) and dentures ($200 per plate) at an additional cost. All other dental work must be completed, and clearance must be obtained beforehand. Please note that there is a waiting list for these services.

The decision regarding the treatment provided at the time of your appointment is made between the doctor and the patient. We only schedule one service per appointment. In some cases, it may be in the patient’s best interest to undergo certain treatments at specific times. Please feel free to discuss any concerns with your provider before treatment begins.

At our clinic, we take great care to provide high-quality, personalized services tailored to your unique needs. We are available to meet your dental needs during our set office hours. Our dental staff consists of local volunteer professional dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants who are committed to providing excellent care.

Our clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment in cases where conflicts may arise. We are not affiliated with any public health sector. Due to the nature of our funding, we are required to verify eligibility both when you sign up and annually thereafter to maintain your status at our clinic.

ELIGIBILITY SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

We use an eligibility screening system that typically takes no more than 15-20 minutes, provided we have an available appointment.

Screenings are conducted on a walk-in basis, Monday through Thursday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a clinic representative who will review the forms you provide.

Eligibility screenings are required for both new patients and those updating their information yearly. If you do not have all the necessary documents, you will be asked to return with the missing information.

Important: Our clinic serves only those without any form of dental insurance (this includes certain Medicaid/Medicare policies as well).

Fees and Appointments

All of our appointments cost $30, except for dentures and partials. The amount of work completed during each visit depends on the severity of the patient’s needs, often requiring multiple visits. Each visit costs $30. Park Place Dental accepts only cash or money orders.

For first-time patients or those re-certifying paperwork, a $30 fee is required upfront before the first appointment.

Three Things We Need to Qualify You:

1. Proof of Residency

2. Proof of all Household Income (Anyone claimed on taxes counts!)

3. Picture ID

For new patients, the $30 fee is due when submitting the application.

This fee covers your first appointment. Any follow-up appointments needed will cost $30 each.

The “Friday by Noon” Rule

Our clinic will schedule another appointment if further dental services are required. At the end of your scheduled appointment, clinic staff will look at future availability and provide a mutually agreeable appointment time. Patients may choose to pay the $30 fee for the new appointment at the time of scheduling or delay payment until the Friday before the appointment week, by noon.

For example, if a patient is scheduled for an appointment next Thursday, they must pay their $30 fee by the prior Friday at noon. Failure to do so will result in losing the appointment. No exceptions. Unpaid appointments will be released and made available to the next week’s screening patients. Please note that exceptions to this rule are very rare.

Rescheduling an Appointment

Park Place Dental Clinic will only reschedule an appointment if you call 48 business hours in advance. If you miss your scheduled appointment without notifying us, you will be required to prepay the $30 fee for a new appointment. Remember, our volunteers are here to serve you, and we want to make the best use of their time. Please note that our staff consists of volunteers, so cooperation with any unforeseen schedule changes is expected from our patients.
Weather Policy

In the event of inclement weather, please be aware that our building follows Norfolk City Offices’ schedule. If Norfolk City Offices are closed, so are we. If you have an appointment during that time, we will reschedule as soon as we return to the office.

Clinic Policy on Treatment Refusal

Our clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment to those who are combative, aggressive, or no longer able to benefit from our services.
